Philadelphia, PA was home for me for about 15 years. It gets a bad rap, but it is a great American city. One of my favorites. Gritty yet opulent, modern yet colonial - with exciting food, an important music scene, and a spirited, independent and proud citizenry. These were taken on a clear, cool October day on opening night of the MLB Playoffs. My family and I were in Marlton, NJ for a long holiday weekend and we took the kids in for the day. We all bought hats.

This is a local carnival that is a part of the well run Matthews ALIVE Festival in Downtown Matthews, NC. They do it every year on Labor Day Weekend. I snuck in the night before they opened.

Southampton. Summer 2011

Long Island is quite photogenic. Lots of well preserved coastline, rolling hills, vineyards, sportfishing marinas, farms, sand dunes, linksland, pine barrens, wildlife and livestock. And you get both sunrises and sunsets. We go up there every year to visit my folks. The kids love it...
